Wire Drawing Machine
The Wire Drawing Machine is an important piece of equipment in the metal industry used to reduce the diameter of iron wire. This machine can take wire with diameters of 5.5, 6.5, 8, 10, and 12 mm and reduce it down to 1.2 mm.
Structure and Operation of the Machine
This machine is designed in stages. Each stage includes 5 drums:
- The first 4 drums gradually reduce the wire diameter step by step.
- The fifth drum acts as the coiler and packages the product in coil form.
The output of the machine can be used in two forms:
- Coil: Wound wire ready for packaging.
- Cut lengths: Straight and cut wire (requires a separate cutting machine).
Diameter Reduction Process in Four Sets
For the common conversion from 6.5 mm to 1.2 mm, four sets of the machine are required:
- First set: 6.5 → 4 mm (Daily capacity: 3 tons)
- Second set: 4 → 2.5 mm (Daily capacity: 2 tons)
- Third set: 2.5 → 1.5 or 1.6 mm (Daily capacity: 700 kg)
- Fourth set: 1.5 or 1.6 → 1.2 mm (Daily capacity: 500 kg)
